“I’ve been working on a project for the past few months called “Treasures Found” and in my searches for weird, wonderful things at garage sales, antique markets, tag sales, etc. I came across this huge, amazing flag. I immediately knew how I wanted to photograph it. At sunset, in a field with a bunch of kids holding it up. I put out a call on trusty old Facebook and had a bunch of responses. Too many. I kind of freaked, then decided to go with it. You can never have too many free models, right? At worst, I thought we could shuttle some of the kids off to the side to get he solo flag shot I wanted. I didn’t need to do that, at all. I loved the mess of kids running around, acting crazy. They led and I just photographed. I love the results. Unexpected, but better than I’d imagined. “
