When December rolls around, my children are always eager to go to Holloway’s Christmas Tree Farm. You can see it off the 101 Freeway one exit before our house. It’s is an awfully cute place with lots to do beside cutting down a Christmas tree. You can make wreaths, sip on hot chocolate, go on a tractor ride, roast marshmallows, ride on a “sleigh” and much more. Once you get there, the owners hand the children a little saw. My boy was eager to get going and starting going at it. When he realizes that it probably isn’t going to work, then they send a guy with an electric chain saw to finish the job. My daughter had her hands over her ears and kept on yelling “TOO LOUD”!! The tractor ride is just once around the farm, but to the children, it’s like being on a ride at Disneyland. We end our evening with a free candy cane that they hand out and I buy them some hot chocolate. I hope that my kids never get tired of the Christmas Tree Farm because I know I never will. Happy Holidays, everyone!
